In my opinion an Area rug is one of the easiest ways to inject color, textures and pattern into a space. They can visually soften hard surface floors and unifies the furniture placed on it. Personally I won’t start working on a space until I’ve selected the area rug. The perfect area rug should be the right mix of comfort, style and color. When choosing your rug size make sure your furniture fits onto the rug completely. Sofas always look better with all sides on a rug rather than off .
A good rule of thumb when figuring out the size of your area rug is to measure the circumference of the placed furniture and add two feet on every side. For example, under a dinning room table the additional two feet will give enough room for dinning chairs to be pulled out and still remain on the rug.

Accent walls can definitely transform a plain room to look like its been torn out of the pages of a model home magazine. An accent wall provides a great opportunities to experiment with color pattern and texture, weather with paint colors, wallpaper designs, wood, tile or brick treatments it's an easy way to liven up a space, and depending on what material you choose, they can be quite cost effective. Liven up your home by bringing in some greenery. I find that adding greenery whether artificial or live they add that certain something that cannot be imitated! Not only do plants add a element of color and interesting texture to your space, if you have a green thumb live plants generate more clean oxygen in your home, making your family happier and healthier. Add a potted floor plant or a tabletop succulent to your design style, and enjoy the freshness of springtime whether you’re outdoors or in.
